We were recently contacted by Touchstones in Rochdale, a museum specializing in Ancient Egyptian monuments and artifacts. As part of BBC's Creative Arts festival we were commissioned to create some replicas of their famous Canonic Jars and Rock Fragments.
This involved Photogramitary in the development of and on screen CAD (Computer Aided Design) vector files. These files were then manipulated ready for 3D Printing. We manufactured scale replicas of their artefact's, with Touchstones looking to use these for not only the BBC's Creative Arts Festivals, but for educational visits and interactions moving forward.
During the weekend festival Warrington FabLab provided a bespoke 'pop up' showcasing 3D Printing and digital fabrication within the museum. Feedback and interactions were excellent within guests of the festival able to take home miniatures of the Conopeic Jar. If you, or your buisness have a need for a 3D Printing exhibition and/or training at an event you're planning please dont hesitate to contact us.
